Module 3: Public Space and Urban Culture

"Public Space and Urban Culture" treats the mutual influence between changing urban planning principles on the one hand and the spatial and cultural realities on the other. An introduction into the history of urban planning and design will be complemented with a discussion of concepts such as public/private and inclusion/exclusion. The goal is to make a historical perspective operative for the challenges posed by current socio-economic practice.
